7. An Evening with Author, Batya Casper

A special concerttitled Jewish Music in Sound and Space, on February 10, 3 PM. The
concert features Jewish choral music from the late 19th century, performed by Cantor Mark Childs of Congregation B'nai B'rith, UCSB Professor Benjamin Brecher, with the UCSB Chamber Choir.               The event includes a talk on synagogue architecture, given by UCSB Professor Volker Welter, and another on religion in people's everyday lives at the time, given by Professor Richard Hecht.
